Tony Attwood C.Ed., B.A., M.Phil (Lond), FInstAM
Tony Attwood was born in Southgate, and was educated at Poole Grammar School, Brighton University, the Open University, and London University Institute of Education.
He worked initially as a teacher and university lecturer (working in London, Dorset, Devon, and in Algiers), before spending four years in the music team in the Cockpit Theatre, in West London. After this he moved into writing.
In recent years Tony has also set up and run two educational
organisations, one supporting administration and management in schools, and one
offering support for people with dyscalculia while.
He was awarded a Fellowship in the Institute of Administrative Management in recognition of his work in relation to school administration and his creation of the School of Education Administration and Management.
Thus Tony’s main work has fallen into two areas: he has been
involved with marketing, particularly into schools, colleges and universities,
an area with which he has been involved for over 30 years, and in writing.
He has written and had published around 100 books, mostly on education, but including a small number on football, three novels, and some on business. He has also written a significant number of adverts for clients.
Tony lives in Northamptonshire, and has three grown-up daughters.
