Tony as a copywriter
At some time in the 1980s (no one can quite remember when) Tony Attwood started offering a copywriting service for companies that were advertising through Hamilton House Mailings.
This service has continued and has extended to writing emails, web site landing pages, and blogs.
Examples of Tony’s copywriting with explanations as to how he writes and how certain styles and approaches can generate higher levels of ordering are given on

- Sales letters to schools: http://www.solo.ac/example1.html

Tony has also evolved a complete theory of writing and designing direct marketing work both in terms of emails and postal campaigns. Much of Tony’s work in this area is to be found on http://www.theory.bz/factors.html
Tony’s blog www.goodad.co.uk comments on emails and sales letters that he receives day by day, and the blog www.blog.hamilton-house.com comments on the broader issues of increasing response rates in direct mail and email marketing.
