Blake's 7 Tony Attwood wrote two Blake's 7 books - The Programme Guide, which celebrated the whole series of Blake's 7 on television, and Afterlife, which took the scenes at the end of episode 52, which concluded the series, and then continued the story in novel form. Afterlife has always proved to be a controversial book - many, perhaps most of the hardcore fans hating it, while occasional viewers of the series found it an acceptable romp. After many years of silence about the book ("I had really had enough of the fans just telling me how awful it was) Tony wrote an explanation of the background to the book in 2002. It is reprinted here - click on the above link "Afterlife" Both Afterlife and The Programme Guide are now out of print, although Afterlife, in particular, is continually traded on EBay. |
